City of Asylum has closed on the purchase of the historic Masonic Building from the Urban Redevelopment Authority. Construction will begin immediately and is scheduled to take 10 months.

URA Selects TREK Development Group for the Garden Theater Block

The URA Board will vote on Thursday to enter exclusive negotiations with TREK Development Group for properties in the Garden Theater Block. The properties include all of the buildings in the block except for the Garden Theater and the Masonic Building. TREK’s plans include mixed-use development with apartments, ground floor retail, and restaurant space.

There have been many delays in the Garden Theater Block, but ACCA had been looking forward to having one of the city’s best restaurants become an anchor of the Garden Theater Block redevelopment.
